Too much of some things and not enough of others.

Vega, did you get the Sushi? By the sounds of this thread you didn't. When someone lives vicariously thru other people's fridges, they're definitely hungry! BTW, mine has a chunk of poppyseed cake in it. Moist and delicious.

Didn't get the sushi, but I did buy four HUGE fresh sea scallops. Grilled 'em last night with a terriyaki sauce and drizzled melted butter with garlic over them when they were done. They were oh-so-succulent and tender. Melted in my mouth like buttah.

I also picked up some other stuff that's now residing in my fridge/freezer: cottage cheese, sour cream, whole milk for my coffee, OJ, Sandeman Don Fino sherry, Negra Modelo, one frozen pizza, several frozen Indian dinners, two bags of frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts (they were buy one get one free), frozen veggies for stir fry, frozen salmon filets, frozen mahi-mahi filets.

But I think that I'm gonna have to pick up some more sea scallops before the sale goes off on Wednesday. They were some kind of heaven, they were.

Edit: Forgot to add that I have replenished my stock of Häagen-Dazs: Cherry Vanilla (which is really black cherry) and Chocolate.

I think I might be thrown out of foo if I reveal what is in our fridge. You see - we have TWO cooks - and neither is my wife (who is a good cook too) - so, what is in the fridge is fully cooked meals for the weekend - some of them for eating cold - some just for popping in the microwave. All fruit nicely cut up and in their own separate containers. The only meat not prepped is fish of course.

The fridge is never empty either since it is the responsiblity of the cooks to do the shopping - they love to experiment with various types of food too.

If it wasn't for all the activity down here I would look like a bowling ball...

Two fewer Modelos in the fridge. And, now, a little less HD in the freezer.

This is one of the many things I love about Latin America- no fear about hired help, and so many have someone working for them.
