I am a traffic engineer for a consulting firm. I do traffic studies, signal system design, access design. I am usually on the wire all day in some form or fashion. I walk a couple blocks to the Y at lunch time to work out.

I do my best to promote/include/recommend multi-modal facilities (bike paths, lanes, etc.), but there often isn't the money or the will to do so.

Impressive Randya. I am just a Service Manager for a nationwide pipe restoration company. Master Plumber with great Public Relations skills landed this gravy job. I almost get bored surfin' the net on my down time. Plenty of time for driving, reading Bike Forums, and still being home between 2:30 and 3:30 PM.

I work for the corporate Big Brother that now owns BikeForums.

While I do help manage several websites, believe it or not, when I have downtime (if anyone important is reading this, "downtime" is purely hypothetical) I like to come to BF.

Pretty much, but they're kind enough to wait until my limbs grow back from the last throwing-to-the-wolves.

Have you seen the comics at www.xkcd.com? He's had a couple good ones related to traffic engineering -- like this and this.

I do a bit of everything for a small manufacturing company that makes foam balls.

I spend most of my free time on BF if online.

Here is a free game site that can also provide mindless diversion.

I'm a software engineer/programmer for a small local development company. Don't have a whole lot of down time at work, but I'm usually talking to a few people on MSN and checking in on Foo through the day when I have a few minutes.

I work in a hardware store (crappy summer job). No internet at work, but in my 'down time' I like to destroy stuff with a bench grinder and play with various power tools.

Do it all day and it becomes a chore. Especially when the smoke smell cooks into your skin.

I'm an admin. assistant (basically I answer phones, type letters, make photocopies, set up appointments etc) so I have a ton of spare time that I spend surfing the web. Some of my favorite spots are facebook, cuteoverload.com, consumating.com and my all time favorite, youtube. Does anyone have other sites they frequent, or any good/funny videos they could share, to keep me entertained? Thnx!!
I work 8-4 such a better schedule, i mea 9-5 sucks big time i feel bad for you people LOL.

I'm a f/t student (at 39) on summer break. After Aug 20 I'm a geology/GIS undergrad student with a full course load. Between classes I will peruse this site, the TE bike forums, my email and a few other sites.
