I AM a ****** and I find that depressing. Even more demotivation for some people to not bother.

And then there are those of us who ride bikes to get our exercise. Who would have thought that I could sit on a couch and eat potato chips and still look slim in all my pictures....

First you get fatter by not getting any exercise and eating lard. Then your knees give out because they can't handle all the weight. Then the state gives you a handicapped parking permit so you can get even less exercise. And finally it takes a forklift (paid for by the state) to get your body out of your apartment when you die.... (/fat rant off/)

All they're basically doing is horizontally narrowing the photo. You can do the same thing in Photoshop.

Looks like it's just narrowing the picture... want to bet you're losing information, too?

Isn't that the point?

Personally, I think it's a great idea. I wonder if they make glasses that could do the same trick.

I love Oprah. I read every book with her sticker on it.

I'm really just throwing stones at her production crew. I'm sure the woman would much prefer to be seen as is.

Maybe.

Sure it thins the picture... but the guy's gut is still hanging over his belt. <shrugs>

You know. You could use this to widen things too which is pretty neat.
I thought it was really cool looking at the demo because when they show you how it is done on the camera only the two people "slim" down which is WOW but then they show the before and after and you can see they just scrunched the whole thing. Bogus!

That is hilarious. The camera should just have template bodies to which you can attach your face.

My reaction to this is the same as my reaction to those obnoxious greeting cards with the implanted music chip -- we have developed the capacity to produce some amazingly cool technology, and this is what we use it for? Lord have mercy.
