I wear them till they fall apart, then I shed no tears when I heave them in the garbage and go to the store and buy new ones. So I guess that's a no.

The pair I'm currently wearing has a special place in my heart as it's the only pair I have without a chainring tear.

I'm wearing my fancy clothes!

SEE!

can't resist a chance to wave my shiny metal ass about.

Jeans or Genes? That got misspelled in another post, but I think PC is a better speller.

So...Jeans: No
Genes: Yes
Jeannes: Yes (wife's and mother's middle name)

I think that covers it.

I was actually thinking about taking a BLIMP picture of me in my jeans.

Well, I have a pair of skinny jeans along with a pair of regular boot cut jeans that I roll up that I enjoy riding in.

I also have a pair that just... err... um... make my legs/bottom look great.

Sweet! I *wish* I had a pair without a chainring tear. I'm hesitant to buy new ones since I know they're just going to get torn, too.

What is it that makes them so special to be worth $220?

(Not trolling. If your answer is "Duh, they're Diesels for crying out loud!" then that is a valid answer. I have a weak spot for Hugo Boss suits and Allen-Edmonds shoes, so I fully understand.)

Damn, I was just going to say that. If your jeans are in your heart, you're wearing them very wrong.

I'm thinking that when they come out of the same sweatshop that all other jeans are made in, they slap the hoity-toy label on there, and stick a hundred dollar bill in both of the front pockets.

Diesel's are handmade in Italy. No sweatshop. I've been to the factory where they hand distress them.

Yes, denim from one pair is sewed over the hole in my heart from a recent bypass surgery.

I don't trust anybody to distress my jeans for me. Original 501s forever!
