By all means include a card, just make sure you get a card from a friend as apposed to special friend mush , love etc.

What type of girl is she? I would suggest something semi edgy/toilet humor if she is a person who will laugh at that. If she is easily swayed by emotions then I would tred carefully.

Or even better, get a blank card and write what you actually want to say.

Be sure and add a few words about your friendship, not too mushy, but sincere.

Don't know how long you've been "serious," T. 'Til then, safe to leave off the card. You can always save it for next year....

Just go for a bike ride, or a walk, and then take her little hands in yours at some point, and let her know you're so glad she was born "today," so that she could be standing right there in front of you. Then kiss her, dammit, if only on the cheek (at first).

Meh. But what do I know? I'm just one data point....

I just feel like greeting cards are too plagued with sentimental pitfalls for something that has barely gotten off the ground. That's why my gift is fairly expensive and primarily chocolate, and casually adorned (a gift bag, not gift-wrapping)
ehhhh, I think cards are harmless

me too in the sense that it doesnt mean a ring will be attached to it!

it's a nice gesture to get a card. there are so many out there you dont have to get a sentimental one if that makes you uncomfortable.

I once dressed up in a red union suit, put a bow on me, grabbed a valentine box o chocolates and knocked on her door. At the last moment I remembered I had forgotten the card. She invited me in anyway. And we ended up married. 27 years married.

So forget the card and you'll end up married. Think about this carefully my man.

I would give a card, but it would have to be the right kind. Like you said, can't be too "just friends" or too romantic and mushy. When I was in this situation a few weeks ago I opted for a card with a ridiculous puppy on the front so I could go with the excuse of the card being too silly to not get (I also knew he would appreciate the ridiculousness of it)

Not sure it was impressed, more entertained. Her and her roonmate never let me forget. They must of laughed for an hour about it. I figured what ever got me inside was cool. There's many ways to a woman's heart. Being a clown is one of them.

Yes - do a card. Most women really appreciate the addition of a card. I'd go with a card with some sentiment, but with some comic relief also. If you can find a card specific to something she likes (for example, if she owns a poodle, you'd get a card with a poodle on it), get that one.

Of course, include a personal note inside said card!

Good luck!

Get a card that tilts in the direction you want the relationship to go. If in doubt lean more toward the mushy love card, if that's what you want. You think you she doesn't know what you're after?
