Waterfalls (56k warning)

Anybody else here love taking pictures of watefalls? I'm double loving it since we never had any in Florida. Here are some pics of Snoqualmie Falls (about 20-30 min. drive from my house). I have some more of Deception Falls (I'll get up soon). I might go to Twin Falls today and get some pics too.

Do you have some waterfall pics? Post them here.

I'd really like to see pics you took yourself...not just some samples you find on the internet (even if you have been to waterfall).

I proposed at Feather Falls in Oroville, CA.

Here's a link if you're interested in more info. It's a fun hike and we were lucky enough to go when it wasn't very busy. We had the overlook all to ourselves, which was a big relief to me because I wasn't about to propose in front of other people.

KT -

Go back to Snoqualimie Falls after a big rain, warm up after some snow or in the spring. When it's full, it's even more incredible!

Not quite as spectacular as yours as the area has been in a drought since 2000.

Silver Falls, east of Salem OR

If you look just left of the fall where the green grass stops and the gray rock begins, you'll see someone standing on the trail that goes behind the water fall. That gives a bit of size perspective, it's a big waterfall.

KT, you must head south at some point and do both Silver Falls and the Gorge Loop. They're especially lovely in the rainy season. Give me enough notice, and you've got yourself a navagator to go with you.

It's not nearly as huge and majestic as some of the falls here, but it was still pretty. I found it where a small stream joined up with a slightly larger one, somewhere in Plumas Forest earlier this year.

Grand Falls on the St. John River in the town of...you guessed it, Grand Falls New Brunswick. About 20 miles from where I grew up.

Great pics, KT !!!
Where I lived in Vt I was surrounded by waterfalls.
I love them !! Western NC and eastern Tenn. have some nice ones, too.
I have some great pictures of them but they are on the PC (dial up)
so I cant post them.

Plan to spend most of a day in the Columbia River Gorge. The light will be best in the morning.

This is Horsetail Falls. For tall waterfalls, take two or more shots and stitch them together with photo editing software... this one was done with PanoramaMaker 2000.

These two are west of Horsetail Falls but I don't remember the name... possibly Oneonta or Mist.

This is White River Falls at the State Park on highway 216 between Tygh Valley and Sherars Bridge.

Hidden Falls is on Tarbell Trail near Vancouver, WA:

Palouse Falls is on the Palouse river in the middle of Eastern Washington. It's over 200 feet high:
