Anyone else watch Dancing with the Stars

As a family we watch zero network TV (abc, nbc, cbs). I watch ESPN, news channels, Discovery, etc..., kids watch Nick, Disney, Animal, and Discovery, maybe a little Cartoon Network, and my wife watches very little TV. Well as a family we watch Dancing with the Stars. Flame away if you must, but with young kids (5 and 7), it's about the only thing on we can watch together. No one gets killed, the music is good, looks great on HD, and we enjoy watching the energy of the dancers. We started watching when our daughter was in dance, to try and show her dancing was fun and could be "cool". Well she doesn't take dance anymore - has the soccer bug, but we still watch. She loves Jane Seymore this year. So any other secret viewers?

I can't flip to the next channel fast enough when I see that on. :D

If the kids are still up, they like to watch that with us. As a family, we watch alot if Nick Jr., Boomerang, Disney channel together. Our boys are 3 and 6.

My daughter watches it. I'm with you on the "harmless" take, so we don't mind her watching it so much. I makes me want to hurl, though.

Last night, my three year old was sitting in my lap when Mark Cuban got his turn to perform. My son turned to me and asked "Daddy, what is that man doing?" Same thing all three judges asked him a few minutes later.

With all the other crap on, I don't think it's that bad. Last season my daughter was really upset when Heather was voted off (hard to explain to a 7 year old). Maybe next season they will get a cyclist (Dave Z, George, Levi, or Chris H.)

Would be a good gag to use Floyd. One night have him dancing lifeless and without energy. Next night have him do some crazy fast Irish jig.

Why watch dancing with the stars when I can gawk at "large" people on the biggest loser, and poke fun at their rolls of sausage and mewbies that hang down to their belly button.

Ok fine! I just watch it because I like seeing the transformation from lazy slug, into ze butterfly!!!!

We have been watching also. Our daughter dances as well. I have been impressed with Helio, he really gets it. It's too bad they didn't get Wayne Newton ten or fifteen years ago, he might have been better. I think he's going down tonight.

I agree on Wayne, but most have started really strong. I think Helio is our fav as well, seems like a really nice guy. We want Mark at least one more week.

I don't know enough about dancing, and have zero talent to judge fairly, but it seem that the men have a harder job. In that they have to learn the dance, but look like they are leading and know what they are doing.
