Can anyone help me get from SLC to Boise for Christmas and back?

Hey there, my boyfriend and i need to get to Boise for Christmas around these dates: December 22 - December 30 (i'm ok with switching these up based upon your schedule). Also, if someone is able to get us to Boise but not back to SLC, i'd like to hear from you. Conversely, if you can get us back to SLC from Boise, but can't get us to Boise, i'd still like to hear from you. i just need as many options as possible right now. So can anyone get me home for Christmas?

If you have room for bikes that would be awesome, but it isn't too important. The most important thing is that i get home for Christmas this year, so if necessary i'll even take roof seating with duct tape safety features.

Thanks guys

Sounds like the makings for a movie story. Kalifornia II?

How broke are you? I would think a bus would be pretty cheap and could likely take the bikes.

Heh, cyber hitchhiking.

Worth a shot, I suppose, but taking the bus or the train is something else to look in to. Not too far of a journey, so it shouldn't cost much.

pfft.....how exciting can a bus trip be? ... these young folk be flyin by the seats of their pants! ...let 'em hitchhike....give 'em a story to tell grammy! .... something they'll look back on and remember fondly! ....

.... or wish they'd never been born....

The long dog would take there and back for about $150. Just think of all the lovely people you get to meet while riding a Greyhound.

If I lived out there, I'd be honored to give a nice pirate lass and her beau a lift. Unfortunately though, I'll be 3,000 miles away.

Good luck with it. I'm sure someone will help you out. Might want to check some college campuses and see if you can hook up with someone who's going home then.

If I were still trucking, very lkely I could have helped out. I used to run the NW route all the time.

I'll check with a couple of friends. If they have any possibility of helping out, I'll PM you with their contact info.

I would also post in the regional forums. Normally, cross-posting is frowned upon, but this is one of those situations where you'll need more people reading this.

Sounds like a regional bus service will be your best bet, or even a Greyhound trip. Greyhound has roundtrip rates around $75.00/person if purchased in advance.
Do any of the ski areas offer transportation deals that you make be able to work in your favor?

Isn't that like a month away? Can you save up some money for a bus ticket in the time or no? I haven't ridden the bus in some time so prices could have gone up.....I don't know.

I dunno, looks like they were collecting up shopping carts for the store. Ya know, some grocers pay a reward for their return.

340 miles? Crap that's just a hair over three centuries. You could easily ride that in three days.
