This is MY green bike. Looking a bit 'freddy' at the moment with the bag and mudguard. Usually its much nicer.

Since this photo was taken, the bars have been changed to flat bullhorns, and the headset spacers have been removed.

I used to ride this. Sorta green, in a teal / aquamarine sort of way:

<offtopic>Hey, X -- where did you get that mount for your flask? I've seen one before, but it was a custom job. Did you do that yourself?</offtopic>

That is such a gorgeous bike... and I don't see any problem with the chain tension.

Hmm... could just be the angle, but for a fixie it looks a bit slack to my eyes.

Thanks. :)

It's a bit slacker than it's been in the past, but it's tighter than it looks. There's very little play in the cranks, and it's quieter this way.

I bought it from Joseph Ahearne at the NAHBS this year.

jsharr 03-18-08 09:50 AM

Really, I think x136 and slack are synonymous.

You have a point.

jsharr 03-18-08 10:27 AM

I like how you waited to agree with me on the slack issue until after you got the source of the flask mount. classy.:D

[I'll get around to replacing this placeholder text with a snarky comeback at some point. Maybe. Meh.]..

[If it helps at all, I'm having difficulty with a witty reply to jsharr, too... Clearly, it's time for bed]
