Dual purpose dirt bikes

Low standover, about 250cc or so, and leans way towards the dirt side. Any ideas? So far I like the street-legal Honda CRF230.

No ideas. Just wanted to post and say that I love the look of supermotards.

But I guess that kinda goes the other way of what you are posting about.

2009 KLX 250S. Used KLR's are good buys if they have low milleage.

I love scramblers... I've got the 1970 version of this bike. But, it had been turned into a chopper sometime in the late 70's or early 80's, poorly fixed up in the 90's and totally customized and modified by myself Looks nothing like the original (almost done building).

Looking for a scrambler project bike to bring back to somewhat original condition that can handle lots of miles of dirt roads and exploration.

They've got a pretty tall standover, though. I'm only about 5'6", so I need a lower bike.

Just checked the dealers-looked at a CRF230L, a Yamaha XT250, and a Kawasaki KLX250. The Kawi and Yamaha are out-the Kawi is huge, way too tall for me and sitting on the Yamaha was like a brick-seat was way too wide.

Tomorrow I'm checking out an 07 Suzuki 200 dual purpose. Much cheaper and I like the dealer better. If it fits and I like it, that'll be it.

Okay, I like the Suzuki. Only gripe is the blue seat with yellow plastics, but I can recover that.
