I really prefer the 4 door... shorter doors make parking easier and they are lighter which stresses the hinges less and it also makes it easier to load cargo and passengers.

I love my Jeep ('91 Briarwood).

Thanks for indulging my wavering fanaticism.
Don't forget, back in the 70s Cadillac's 500 inch engine was doing well to put out 200 hp.

The Cadillac's 500 was originally rated at 400 BHP with 550 lb feet of torque... the SAE rating system pushed that number down and with higher emission controls that 500 cubic inch engine was only rated at 210 hp in 1976.

Even with modern ratings it is still quite the beast when it comes to torque... it has enough of that to pull stumps from the ground.

I have never understood the fetish for 2 doors. If a car only has two seats, it's practical. But for a 4-6 passenger car, it seems stupid. I once got a great price on a 4 door Chevy Nova that had been sitting on a dealers lot for months, its only flaw being that it didn't have only two doors.

Some vehicles can pull it off and look as good as the 2 door version or even better... and when you have a vehicle designed for carrying 5 people and a bunch of stuff 5 doors is the way to go.

Shorter doors are also stiffer and put less stress on the hinges and put the pillar right behind you which also provides more structural stiffness, my Jeep's passenger compartment is essentially surrounded by a roll cage and having seen a few that have gone end for end half a dozen times I can appreciate just how tough these trucks are.

When your bones get a little older crawling over and around a front seat isn't nearly as much fun as it used to be either.

I think the 3rd gen 94-01 Acura Integras look great in either 4-door sedan or 2-door liftback styles. I've had my 94 2-door for almost 14 years now, but I still miss having 4 doors.

What I don't understand is why more sedans and coupes don't have rear window wipers. I love having a wiper on my car's rear glass, and I really hate that my wife's 4-door car does not. Many sedans in Japan have rear wipers, but almost none do in the USA. Late model Mitsubishi Lancer Evo's are one of the only ones I can think of.

Lack of damage to front of car makes me think they hit a low kerb REALLY hard. Apart from the shattered wheel I can't even imagine the damage to the suspension and frame.
That's actually a botched hover conversion, you didn't know?
