Opel Manta. And agreed on the Hudson. It would almost be a shame to restore it, the exterior anyways. But I'm assuming since it was at a car show, the owner likes it as is.

Yep. The NSRA is in town this weekend. Mostly "normal" street rods, but I noticed the oddballs (duh!):

An Australian Ford Ute, converted to left-hand-drive.

A very, very custom Ford COE:

You come into a thread clearly reserved for us that have a passion for cars and badmouth them? Stick with the bleeding hearts in "living car free." Rudeness isn't tolerated here.

It was a spammer selling vacuum cleaners. He's been banned and posts deleted.

Figures.
Nice DBS wallpaper. Full size: http://www.luxurywallpapers.net/wp-c...apers.net_.jpg

Oh yea, and I saw an old Jaguar E-type on the road today. Couldn't get a picture though. Was pretty much a match to the one below.

Pope Hartford

My grandfather used to use one like this as an SUV, taxiing hunters throughout the wilds of Wyoming after he graduated from High School. He drove it out from L.A. He reported that once he drove it door deep into the water to cross a river and then winched it the rest of the way across, opened up the distributor and cleaned it out and went on. A stage coach would leave him cans of gasoline out in the middle of the wilderness so he could refuel.

Ok car fans, can anyone name these two cars and say which race they competed in and what, if any, was the importance of the race?

We'll see what happens. The big comeback was supposed to be 2012 then they said 2013. There were 3 other supposed comebacks in 03, 04 then 06. It really depends on what Fiat says but things have really been looking up for Alfa recently and the Chrysler connection makes it look more possible than ever. The rumour that interests me the most is Alfa working on a new line of engines with Ferrari !
