Has coddling tendencies.
Different band, same watch. Precise time month after month. Has taken several big falls (with me attached) and still ticking. Waterproof rating at 20 ATM.

I'm usually a mountain rider, and we usually don't get excited about watches. I've got a Breitling Chronomat Vitesse two-tone with gold and steel and a pilot bracelet. Breitlings are the best watches ever. period.

Although, the Submariner also comes in a no date model which also has no cyclops.

Love the Panerai.
Sold a couple of Rolexes, good watch but bored me after a while.
Sporting a Breitling Chronomat Evolution, Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon, Oris Mile Tonneau Chronograph, Tag Heuer Chronograph among others.
Would love a Panerai or a Graham Chronofighter as my next watch.

I'm a big watch fan. I've had my share of Rolex, Panerai and Omega over the years. Current watch is a Omega SMP 2254.50. Nice piece, especially fort he money IMO.

It's safe to say that the people in this forum have impeccable tastes in the finer things in life. My next purchase would be a Seiko Marine Master... We will leave the debate of ETA vs. high-end Japanese movements for another day.

Particular watches carry rich histories however and that's what gets me. For example: Panerai upon inception was actually a major supplier to the Italian Royal Navy, this is why you see the crown protector on them and they've upheld this tradition for years, my watch being a derivative of the already well established submariner set the benchmark for diving watches of it's time and has been used on numerous expeditions, as well as world record setting ones also the watch itself marks the forge between Rolex and Comex. No $300 carbon fiber pump can bring you that.

The only history in a watch that matters to me is that belonging to my great grandfather's Bulova I wear on rare occasions. It's not very valuable and probably wasn't particularly expensive when new, but it's relevant to me. The Italian Royal Navy? Rolex? Comex? May as well be a carbon fiber pump to me.

OP just wanted an excuse to show off his Rolex.
Humph. My Swiss Army is so old I doubt there's a photo of it anywhere.

Here's my Citizen Eco-Drive alternate. I replaced the green canvas band with a black leather band. I like the simplicity.
