What's it take to go to school in Canada?

If I need to, oh, say, leave the country for a while, what would I need to do to go to school in Canada? Can an American study full time there not doing some semester abroad program? I'll start looking into it, too, but if anyone has some good advice, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks!

What's the statute of limitations on...uh, I mean, how long were you planning to stay in Canada? Just wondering.

at least 4 years, maybe longer, but after school, moving to another country is always an option, if necessary...

Bacon - you can pay for anything in Canada with bacon.

And by that I mean the real stuff, not Canadian bacon oddly enough.

You saw the Reuter's poll about McCain being in the lead, didn't you? It's okay, I did the same thing. I'm looking into the Peace Corps.

Well sure, but I think it might be easier to do what I want if I'm considered a legal resident... just saying.

Sincerely,

are you applying for college or university?

oh, and don't go to U of T, they're the most stuck up a-hole University we have here. (according to at least 3 of my friends/acquaintances who went there). That is unless you're at the top of the class, then everyone will try and mooch off of you.

I'm moving to the west coast in a year, and I want to evaluate all my options. Going to school in Vicotria is something I've thought about doing, McCain doing well in the polls is pushing that option higher on the list

if you're admitted into a canadian school and can pay the tuition, everything else will sort itself out

the problem is that it is sometimes difficult to work in canada if you need to do so in order to support yourself

Just remember, friends don't let friends go to York.

I had the same trouble with a girl, years ago. Clingy. Very clingly. Real psycho. I understand your difficulty completely. Here's a list of things that may help:
1. Get your hands on a copy of Soldier of Fortune. It'll have lots more good ideas to go off-grid.
2. Don't use any of your credit cards.
3. Don't call anybody you know now, they'll rat you out. Soon you'll find psycho at your Canadian doorstep with a cigarette hanging out her mouth, a bottle of Jack Daniels in one hand, and a machete in the other.
4. Stay out of trouble with the law, fingerprints are a real problem.
5. Say, "Eh" at the end of every sentence. You'll blend.
