You must work for a progressive company. My company will not allow any alcohol to be consumed during the working day, even at a restaurant lunch with your boss. They're afraid of the liability.

Ditto. I work for a steel mill, though. Makes sense when being around molten metal.

We did that in the early 80's and I must say there were some pretty slow afternoons that resulted from those lunches!

We cannot even have alcohol at company-sponsored social events. We recently had a picnic that was partially funded by the company, and in all of the pictures that are posted on our plasmas here, all the beer cans and bottles were even photoshopped out.

Our official policy is that you cannot work within so many hours of consuming alcohol, or if you are impaired in any way (including being hung over).

I telecommute for the most part.(My telecommute = phone on and email up.) My office is in NY and we don't have field offices. Well, my house is my office so I guess there is an "office" here. And BTW, we opted for Bloody Mary's.
