Drunk drivers

I know of a gal who totaled out her "new" used Corvette (crashed into a parked car) because of drunk driving. Rather than admit she drank a whole bottle of wine (she forgot she told someone) she goes on to insist she drank only two glasses. She is more upset at having her license taken away for a month than she is at the fact that she could have killed someone if not herself.

I hate selfish people.

Women can drive Vettes? I know men drive them to make things bigger. What do women drive them for?

Yeah. That's probably why she's done it before.

2nd strike = 3yrs
3rd strike = for life, but can be reduced to 10yrs
4th strike = for life.

But back on topic....

I hate drunk drivers. 1st offense: year long suspended license. 2cd offense: license revoked permanently, minimum 5 years in prison with accompanying felony. 3rd offense: Life in prison.

In Ohio, an act was passed a few years ago requiring 3rd time drunk offenders to purchase "Party Plates". Aka, they're yellow. Big whoop. gggggggrrrrrrrrrrr. I had drunk drivers more than irresponsible smokers....

My step mother's nephew was killed by a drunk driver. He was 19.

The drunk driver was a total ******. It was the third time caught driving drunk, and the second accident where someone was harmed (the previous occasion he had a passenger).

Ask the girl if she's ever been to the funeral of a young person killed by a selfish drunk. It's not an occasion you want to repeat.

I know someone who is paralyzed because of a drunk driver. As far as I'm concerned, it should be a year in prison for the first offense, assuming no one was hurt.

working as a medic I have seen plenty of car crashes and a good portion of them were drunk.

Sadly enough it seems like the drunk always walks away while the innocent party is the one injured/killed...

They won a divorce settlement.

What are the laws like in Europe? I know a guy from Poland and he always talks about how now one drinks and drives over there. What is the reason?

There really isn't a worthwhile punishment for drunk driving. Now if they took your car and took away your license for good or gave you mandatory jail time on the first offense then people might take it more seriously...and cabby's would make more money

I believe that one country in south America shoots people who drive drunk. Can't remember where though.

I agree with you, but people think it's their Gods-given right to drive.

I'm no stranger to the inside of a bottle (Drinkin' a Rock Art Vermonster as I type) but I've never driven U.I. People need to plan ahead or control themselves.

First offense: Lose your car, lose your license for a year.
Second offense: Lose your car, lose your license for a decade, a year in prison.
Third offense: Firing squad.
