I'm the pied piper of kittehs in the house - the roommate's girlfriend is an odd person (actually she's bi-polar and not on meds) and is rough with the cats - so the adult cats ignore them. The little monkeys however are eating up the wild screaming and rough behavior - which is probably why they act so feral - but they hang with me too and ignore them alot. So it's nothing for me to have 4 cats in my room all night. The other nasty effer is not allowed in as she's the one - who hid in my room and got locked in and left a dump on my bed.

Oh hell yes, the result is the "double little girl scream".

We had one cat that liked to chew the ends off of Q-tips. We would toss him one, and he would catch it and spend the next half hour tossing it in the air and catching it. He would also retreive little balls of paper. He could also open cabinet doors, we had to get child looks or we would come home and the Q-tips would be all over the apartment.

None of my ex's cats were bad about that one, but now I have a 72 pound dog who still thinks she can climb up in my lap like a 10 pound puppy.

One of the ex's cats used to stand on the edge of the bathtub opposite the faucet when anyone took a shower. When you were finished, he'd hop into the bathtub and drink the last few drops of water that were on the faucet.

heheh my first cat loved drinking from the tub. She'd hop up there and wait for me to turn it on.

Mr. Li's favorite spot is my lap, but Kero prefers the chair cushion.

So much for cats being aloof animals. My boys follow me around the house wherever I go.

We have two cats; littermate brother and sister. The sister is more of a traditional cat in behavior as she is aloof unless she wants something. She is the evil cat ruler of the universe, and if we are good, our deaths will be quick. She will run for cover should my husband growl, but if he is violently rubbing her ears and head, she won't move for anything!

Now the brother, oh BROTHER! He is a talker, always making comments to us about anything, about letting him out, letting him in, picking him up, feeding him, petting him. . . He is a hunter, catches lizards, mice and gophers. What is the wierdest is the way he will snuggle up on his favorite human, my middle daughter: he hitches himself up by her left shoulder, buries his nose in her hair and proceeds to hang onto her like a monkey, front legs around her neck and his hind legs splayed out sideways, as if he were hanging on with monkey-feet-hands. Pretty freaky looking.

The brother also has a purr you can hear across a noisy room.

" . . . -when he was about 2 or 3 someone gave my wife a fleece and flannel blanket as a gift; we kept it on the couch for chilly nights. At various times we'd catch him, umm....violating it. Yes, I mean that violation. . . . "

My sister had a big, black tomcat named Kittyboy who did the same thing to a stuffed toy she had around the house. You could not touch the toy and you could not take the toy away from Kittyboy when he was, um, er, busy with it. She called the toy "Kittyboy's teddybear lover. . . !"

Yeah, teh kitteh follows too, and wants to do what we do. He plops on our lap or meows along when we're playing the piano, which is awesomely adorable. I'm trying to get a video of this. He's more dependent than other cats, but still waaaaaay less dependent than a dog.

During a shoot, Oscar was getting into things and tearing up the background paper, so he had to go.

"I've been locked up, won't let me out..."

Later, the model and MUA came out and told me he had "left me a present in the bathroom."

No, not THAT present.

Guess he's a republican.

Our female cat will paw at the door to get in for as long as it takes for us to open the door, which in the middle of the night could be a long time. Then she walks over to the other door to go right back outside

That one does her cyclone dance chasing her tail every now and then, it causes this one to run into the bathroom and hide in the tub. That one also goes completely crazed when she sees herself in a mirror.

This one loves steamed Brussels sprouts with shoyu sauce, that one likes to eat rubber bands.

Thinking Im just around to enjoy the show and feed them
I love it! Mine did the same thing, showed up and just stayed. I figured since she adopted me, it wasn't fair of me to name her, so she is the cat, or cat for short.

What is it about rubber bands? We have to hide them....also those rubber coated wire twist ties

Our chubby dummy cat Linux had some bizarre obsession with my messenger bag last night....No food in there....no idea what he was so into, but he was pitching woo to it all last night and all morning too....I may just have to throw it in the laundry this weekend.

I hate to say it but I am amazed our little dummies are still alive sometimes!

I get really paranoid about the stuff they can get into...but you can only do so much damage control.

We have some video too...since Marco can play the piano better than me maybe I should let him figure out how to upload it

I basically 'trained' him to do this by putting those little heroin-laced Temptations treats on the keys once or twice....he got it right away.

Ours does it just because he likes doing what we do...he eats the same time, sleeps the same time (though he wakes us up in the middle of the night so we can let him go use the litter box), and plays the piano at the same time. It's nice that you have a little kitteh-sized piano for him though--ours shares our piano. Cute, but not fun when we're actually trying to practice.

It'd be cool if they just didn't like those crazy flatted 9ths and 13ths
