Not really. When the phrase "The pen is mightier than the sword" was written, they didn't have keyboards and flat panel monitors. The point, that AllenG re-emphasized, is that words are powerful.

I once had the pleasure of watching an A10 fire it's 30mm cannon. The freaking gun SLOWED THE PLANE DOWN while it was firing. Loved the 25mm in the Bradley, firing many weapons from Hueys and Blackhawks, the 40mm vehicle mounted grenade launcher, .50cal M2, many different military weapon systems, but the coolest weapon I have employed was my thumb. I have used more powerful weapons in the military and elsewhere, but bringing down an armed man with a thumb is cooler. Stupid drunk neighbor.

I have a Taurus 627 .357 Magnum revolver and a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm semi-automatic pistol.

They are both WAY cool.

In 1994 I had a TEC-9, before they were illegal (36-round clip). Kind of looked like this one, but the barrel was different.

They're still legal. It was only illegal to make new ones and new magazines during the Clinton/Biden ban. Kinda junky though.

I have heard that there is a saying in the Navy that no one in their right mind would go to the North Pole clad in anything less than a nuclear submarine.
