I bet the seat that the controller was sitting in needed major cleaning after this discussion.
Damn, that pilot was calm.

Captain Sully is one cool person. My wife is a Senior Flight Attendant with USAir and has flown with him a few times, one of her best friends from her Piedmont days was the lead FA on that trip. If you were to meet Captain Sully on the street you would never know his qualifications, just that he is a true gentleman and a generous person. The man is nothing short of remarkable in many, many ways.

After listening to that, I felt massive sympathy for the ATC. That poor guy is sitting there, knowing that a plane just went silent and still having to do his job. WOW!

It is considered to be one of the most stressful jobs in the world. And now you know why.
