Post your photography part II

O.K, the 'Post your Photography' is great and has given me an idea.

There are a lot of photographers on this forum so why don't we try something. What if we picked a theme every week or couple of weeks and then took photographs on that theme and posted in this thread (or the other thread).
As a learning photographer, it was great to read through the thread and see what others had done as well as reading some critiques. So, what says ye? If people are up for it, what should the first theme be?

Good idea! I used to read Fark.com, and they did something similar on a weekly basis. Not sure if it's still going on, but the resulting threads were always worth a look.

A great idea. You pick the first subject/theme. And, can it be an old photograph? Or, does it have to be taken in a given period of time.

I'm going to have to say for first theme what doohickie said. Represent your city/area through photography, tell us about/ show us why you love where you live.

That would be easy for me since I think Fort Worth is a well-kept secret for cyclists. It's rather a good place to ride. I think part of the reason, though, is that there just aren't that many cyclists and drivers tend to give us a wide zone to operate. If more cyclists were on the roads here I think the drivers would get a little sick of us.

Cloudy Nights (an astronomy forum) does a monthly photo contest.
1. Open a thread stating rules and theme (only hard fast rule is you have to be the photographer, and there is usually an image size restriction), and that month's submissions go in that thread.
2. At the end of the month open a poll thread with the submissions, most votes wins kudos for the month.
