For some reason I'm now obsessed with basketball. Playing and watching, loving playing makes the watching that much better and vice versa. Caveliers ftw.

y'all?

Anime...As an angry oldie, I thought it was all drawn like those big eyed mexican
kids you see on felt paintings for sale in gas stations in southwest Georgia.
Sorta like the Emo of artwork. But, A guy at work turned me onto some
of the better(?) stuff and Im hooked.

Really? I don't think I've taken any hiatus from woodworking since I was about 12

Not exactly new, but I was in Sam Ash the other day and saw a beautiful black lacquer tenor sax that I just had to have. I have been playing my soprano and alto regularly though.

Not yet, but this week I'll get into working the trades again. I guess two years managing a bike shop was enough of a break.

The projects include some repair work on a house I trimmed out about 15 years ago. I'm still good friends with the client and there's just a few minor issues. Still a cool house though and I may take some pics.

The brewery wants a few pieces made. A shelf for a bottle collection, a rack to hold the garnish tray, a shield for the POS station. Nothing fancy, but I'm hoping once they see my work...they'll let me fix some of the crap that was done before.

The job I'm really waiting for is trimming out a complete home for some friends. Unfortunately their income depends on commercial plumbing jobs coming through. They've already had a couple cancellations, so the start date is unknown, but they have assured me they want my work.

1: Focusing on getting in shape after a number of years of a sedentary major.
2: Getting leather armor pieces made for renfaire garb.
3: Trying to find a good costume designer for an idea I have. If anyone on Foo knows of one, PM me.
4: Researching what I can do for a business. "Consulting" is a generic thing, but here in Austin the city is filled with them that I have to have a specialty that people can get from me that they can't get from Geek Squad, Computer Nerdz or your usual culprits.
5: Writing fiction.

I have two people that need me to start teaching again. I'm thinking about it. I just won't teach them if they want to learn for the wrong reasons.

Been busy supporting the kid with his basketball. He got promoted to JV. Not bad for a freshman! Gonna be helping with assistant coaching for a new tournament team we are forming in March. Will be traveling a lot for games.

In adult league I'll be organizing fund raising tournaments for the Alzheimer's Assoc again.

Volunteering for animal rescue. And practicing more with air pistol shooting once I get my targets built.

Nothing new, but I've been playing my guitar and reading more. Have been trying to leave my laptop at work when possible so I don't have an internet connection at home during the week... it's amazing how much time has freed up.

Since I lost my job in November, I've developed a new interest of going to the Starbucks near the college and watching all of those pretty little....... Uh, I've developed a whole new appreciation for Coffee.
