Firewall for Windows XP

I'm currently using the Free version of the ZoneAlarm Firewall with my wifes computer. It seems that it has several conflicts with some of the software that is installed on her computer (HP Printer software seem to be the worst).

Has anyone used the "Comodo" free firewall" If so, how well do you think it works with XP?

Or, do you have recommendations for an alternate free firewall?

TIA

Ed

Never had any issues with ZA.

It's worth working through them if you can as ZA is regarded as one of, if not the best free firewalls.

You've got something zigging when it should be zagging. You do have Windows XP firewall turned off, correct?

The windows firewall is off and I've unloaded and reloaded both the HP software and the ZA software. Still seems to be a serious conflict.

I find that ZA also has a conflict with the AVG 8.0 free virus protection.

Comodo is decent. I've also found Sunbelt Software's Personal Firewall good too, and decently lightweight.

ZoneAlarm is fine. You just have to configure rules on what is allowed and not allowed to get through. You'll have to do the same thing with any other firewall software as well.
