If I stab you

or shoot you, or yell obscene gibberish at you, please do not take it personally, it is my second day of being coffee free.

Not sure why I decided to do this, but I did.

Good luck! The 21st of this month makes 8 years since I quit caffeine and smoking (cold turkey on the same day). It isn't easy but it is worth it.

Coffee and tea are two things that I'm very reluctant to give up. I've VASTLY cut down on my drinking (i'm talking maybe two beers a month) and am trying my hardest to quit smoking (day 5 at this point), so I'll be loath to give up any more vices for a while at least.

Drink lots of water. I was able to kick the coffee and soda habit by drinking tons of water. The headaches were not to bad.

Good Luck

I feel for you. When I was going through all the heart stuff, I stopped drinking it (in large quantities). It abso-fricken-lutely sucked.

I'd rather give up my used Band-Aid collection then try that again.

Good luck with that. For me giving up soda was pretty easy. Coffee not so much. I've managed to cut back by drinking half-caf but still have a ways to go before quitting it altogether.

Wow, that makes me feel like a wuss for struggling (unsuccessfully) to give up caffeine.

Learn to do "good" coffee. It has 50% or so less caffeine on average and the bonus is it tastes 10X better.

Why not cut your amount down by 1/4 every few days? Breaking a chemical addiction like that is rough if you just up and quit. Especially if you've been drinking coffee for as long as it sounds like you have.
