Some of it was pretty slippery that day. Especially with slicks. BTW, I was 15 minutes late for work that day because of the slipperiness and the river was flooded, and as a result, the MUP. Luckily I have a way around it, but it involves walking along some railroad tracks for a bit.

OOOOOOOOO that's a fun idea.

It's gonna take me a week or so to get a good one. I need to get a pic somewhere rural, and I'm not going to be headed out for the woods until the weekend.

I've always liked this one, but it may be more due to the memory of the day. Beautiful, crisp December day in Salt Lake City, a long walk in the park, then settling in on a park bench to read a book.

Winter in the Pacific North West

...taken in January, for the record

PS
I think we should have titles if for no other reason but to make voting a little easier.

But I'm good with new images only next month.

Thank god. It's a bit to hot to be taking photos. I think for seasonal themes such as Winter, Summer, Autumn and Spring the 360 day rule is good. For all others I'm happy for it to be photos taken that month. Now to go find some winter shots.

I took this about 1/2 hour ago. I wanted to get the light of the full moon, but I sat in rehearsal hall and watched the lovely moon rise big and clear, then get higher and smaller, and the sky cloud over, and I could not escape to get a snap of it.

I finally got on the bike, and rode out to where there are no street lights. Here is what's left of the moon by the time I got there.

I love the photo contest idea. I just went and dug out my camera, maybe I'll even take it outside now!

I get the feeling the "riding my bike on a snowy path" theme is gonna win.

Winter here is about rain, so I'll enter this shot from the Tour of California Stage 2, in the Santa Cruz mountains.

I don't own a camera, so this is like one of the only shots i have without people in them from a few weeks ago while renting the cam.

Scanned some old photos from my photography days in the mid 80's. This was taken during a late winter night in Bitburg Germany.

I personally prefer to take portraits, so most of my winter shots don't have much do with winter other than clothing is bulkier on the subjects. I found this one from 2007, though.

Did it to myself too. I'm in the same boat. 'Cides doesn't have to be a current image.

Winter can be metaphorical too.
