Foo Foto Contest--February
Theme: Winter Shot
Winter is about over (sorry Gnome) so let's start this off with winter images.
Rules: You must be the photographer.
One entry per month.
At the end of the month I'll put all the entries in a poll thread, winner gets bragging rights and whatever they can shake UA down for.

Hmmm... Allen, can we get a clarification? Can the picture be from any time, or do you have to take the picture after the theme is announced? I thought the idea was to announce a theme and then get people out there taking pictures.

+1 for the clarification on when the photo must be taken. 'Cause if it is to be taken after the theme is announced and it is a seasonal theme, I'm stuffed.

I think it should be taken within the month that the contest was announced. With this first month being a little lenient.

I didn't put time of photo in the rules, so this month any image so long as you are the photographer.
Next month will add a freshness date, say within the last month or three.
Image taken within the last 360 days for seasonal themes sound good, Gnome?

Gotta take into account seasonal themes given that Gnome's and those who live in the upside down part of the planet seasons are six months out of step.
New images only will narrow down the amount of people who will participate ever month. A mild freshness date will keep the numbers up.
But I'm good with new images only next month.

This photo was once a semifinalist in a monthly contest with the theme "numbers". You make things work...
THIS IS NOT MY ENTRY FOR THIS CONTEST

Aw-ite. New images only next month.
Are you putting the number nine up for your winter shot (lovely image BTW) or do you have something new for us?

Its a bit too cold to be out taking photos. I tried a few weekends ago, but 14F for a high and wind make for a miserable few hours out in the cold.

Can I play too?
I'm not as skilled as many of you. I know that 'cause I've been lurking and checking out your pics on a regular basis.
Anyway, this is from last winter before the snow got too deep...
