those are all great discussions, but most of those threads would border on religion and beliefs.

i've just been browsing the plethora of bumped threads and clearly botto wants foo to be more substantial.

I agree to some extent but not entirely. It depends on what you expect from foo. If foo were a tv channel, i suspect botto wants it to be like a national geographic or discovery and not some dumb reality show. I would rather it be a mix of the banal and the occasional interesting or informative thread. It is generally background noise whilst doing something else. If it were all meaningful, I would have to give it undivided attention or be constantly distracted.

rather than trying to put words in botto's mouth, why don't you just ask him yourself?

IMO, Foo is becoming less the Toon Town that we all love, and more into Ms Notbangedenough's 8th grade classroom full of emo teenyboppers exchanging love & suicide notes.

That pretty much cover it in a nutshell, b?

I like being a Toon...never got into the emo stuff. Now somebody drop a piano on my head.

incorrect.

all i did was illustrate that foo can actually have some substance, as opposed to none.

well, you have to admit, with the bumped threads, that it's better than all that emo/parody crap that's been posted all week.

Well in that case i'm in complete agreement with you. It just seemed like the whole page was full of interesting threads that I want to read which would make foo a full-time job in itself. if today's foo front page were typical, bf would be dangerously distracting, but one of those threads now and then would be a pleasant surprise. I have to bookmark that North Korea thread (and a few others) for a proper read later.

If you had pizza, beer and hard boiled eggs for dinner last night, yummy.
