Daughter's bike at my desk, the jokes

My daughters HotRock (my daighter is 2) bike is at my desk (that particular story is not relevant here) at the office. And I'm getting the same jokes over and over and over again: "Hey ya know that bike is too small for ya! (everyone laughs, except me)" or "Did you come in on that thing (everyone laughs except me)... why dont they just figure out that the jokes have been said already. Now I have to hide the bike so I dont keep getting the dm jokes all the time.

If it makes ya feel any better, I'd clown on ya. Anyone throw a fixie or singlespeed joke at ya, yet? No? Well...

Just put a big sign on it.

"Yes I know it's too small for me"

and

"No, I did not ride in on it"

You can shut them all up if you just wear this.

Just answer them with, "Wow! That's really original! No one else would've thought of that."

I think you can win this by using the suggested "ya, it shrank in the rain when I rode it in this morning."

I don't quite understand why the situation has you so upset...?

I used to work with a guy named Michael Bolton. I never once mentioned the connection but it got to a point where I was getting ready to shank anyone else who came up to him and said "Haha Michael Bolton, like the singer hahah."

Get a stack of those thick rubber bands and shoot the next person who says something about the bike in the face. Word of things like that travel fast.

Get a big whiteboard and start keeping score, or better yet, jotting down names.

I'd get that stuff when I'd lock the MTB on the street and carry my front wheel inside ("What happened to the rest of your bike? Haw haw haw haw...")

It was funny - the first 5 gajillion times I heard it

Waaa... maybe this'll thicken your skin up a bit.

I don't see an issue here other than your co-workers trying to be friendly, in a corny sort of way.

Sorry, but this calls for a strong dose of HTFU. Really, you can't take jokes about a kids bike?? Really?? I guess someone has a case of the Mondays (bonus points if you don't get the reference)!

The same old day in, day out year after year comments DO get old ....

For some reason people cannot WAIT for me to dismount to remind me my taillight is on...

but I do think a baby bike by my desk would be funny
