Well I was really good with it in the store, and then at home I was checking out the "New AXIS SAFETY lock", holding the blade with one hand while clicking the safety to see how it engages. Well everyone knows that you gotta keep the blade oiled, right? Well, while I was holding the blade with my fingers and messing with the SAFETY, the blade slipped and it clamped down on my finger. My reaction had me yank my finger out fast.
I sure have a lot of blood. And its throbbing like hell.
Anyway, I just got it and it was the first time I opened it at home. It's the 551s in black.

I hear that super glue works very well.
Little dogs can bump your elbow and let your finger slide up onto the blade too. This can be very embarrasing when looking at a brand new knife in the car in the mall parking lot. One still has to hand the attendant the ticket and pay to get out.
For some reson the parking attendants don't like bloody tickets?

I like my knives set to close a bit more slowly and open slowly too....i'll give up a little speed for added safety.
That's a pretty knife, Siu. Do you like the serrated edge? I only owned one knife ever with a serrated (a rather cheapo from the hardware store counter, though it actually worked really well for something that inexpensive!) and I am not really even sure what one uses a serrated edge for. Is it for sawing type cuts?
My wfe an her buddies were singing praises of Luna bars today - go for the nutz over Chocolate - yummy way to get a little extra iron. Drink lotsa fluids too....and stay away from vampires!

Believe it or not, this is the sharpest, best cutting, folding knife I have ever used. I now carry it everywhere. I really like having a screwdriver etc. Who would have thought... a one handed swiss army knife ! The large screwdriver also has a liner lock.
I have a huge gun safe full of kinves. I used to make custom knives. I used to belong to a knife club and have sold at LA and Vegas etc.... this thing cuts !!! also.........owwieee !!!

The serrated knife blades are great for cutting rope and straps etc. Something soft that moves away as you cut. Not anything hard like wood. That's better with something that makes it's own clearance as it cuts, like a real saw blade.

Wow. Those knives truly are special!! My favorite of those would probably be the one with the Arizona wood handle. I love the carvings and the shape of the blade.
That other one, the last one...it's kinda huge and can be used to chop off someone's head or something.
