W/ your skin color, the tans might disappear. The black trimmed ones will show up better. But what dress/color are you gonna wear w/ them? Show us the dresses too.

1) comfort: as you may have seen in WP's shoe thread, I am practically Imelda Marcos herself. I've owned about every type of heel and pump known to man. I have found that ones with no platform in front (like yours) are the most uncomfortable. That looks like a pretty high heel with no support in the front.

2) who gives a crap- they are cute, and it hurts to be beautiful.

also- i biked in heels, platforms, you-name-it all the time in college Now, cycling is for sport, so I go with the bike shoes.

Ooooooooo WANT 2nd pair!! (have enough black trimmed/leather, etc chues)

This Spring I've seen the students here at college where the most highest stiletto shoes evar! To the point where even at 8 am - I already see the painful mincing walk. Oh why! I like high shoes/boots - but there's good chues and bad chues.

Those look like good chues!

Hmmm, good point about the tan trim not going very well with my skin tone. The peachy color of that shoe is a win though. Dress color...heck, I'd wear these with everything! But I'd pair it mostly with a white, pink, and brown dress with black trim, little black dresses, and little black suits. Maybe with the pink dress, but that's waaaay too much pink for me.

Hmm. Black trim shoes are winning with a slight margin over bike crap...

Black...cute shoes by the way. I'm becoming quite a shoe ***** myself, but I prefer the strappy stilettos.

Not to be too crude, but since you mentioned it, how do you bike in a skirt, anyway? On the trails around here I see women cycling in skirts a lot and I always see their underwear and I am not even trying to look (I am a guy but not into looking up skirts, trust me on that).

Do they just accept the fact and don't care or do they really think people can't see anything? I am just curious more than anything since I wouldn't dare stop and ask any of them, and I don't care about shoez, so.... ya.

oh no no no ----- have had my bout with those GOTTA HAVES, those are the people who go to a wedding wearing shoes for the first time - and end up taking them off after the first 45 minutes, if they're lucky.

There are some tall shoes/boots out there - usually the better makes that look good and feel good. I'm in high heels all day, have been since the late 70's - although I have a variety (of shoes/boots - and heel heights) I wear - yeah - some better than the others, but in general - most of my shoes go on at 8 am and go off at 4 pm - but I've been known to go out after work and end up home at 10 pm plus still in those shoes. And no blisters, corns, bunions or whacky bones where they shouldn't be!

This thread has reinforced my suspicion why it takes my wife over an hour to get ready in the morning.
Hmm... what should I wear? What fits this dress? Is my hair right? Damn, my make-up's not the right color! Do those shoes look cute? Is the blue shade of those pants blue enough? etc etc etc

While I hop out of bed, shower, one stroke with the fingers through the hair. Any color Jeans for the off days or dress pants with any color dress shirt. Done.

Not only that, but my daughter at age 5 is already showing those signs as well. She picks out matching shirts with pants and shoes.
While my son at age 11 he doesn't care if his t-shirt is hanging out, his pants are too short, or he's just wearing sweatpants or the t-shirt he slept in last night.

WTH? Genetics?

For me it's about 60% walkability and 40% style. I am on my feet a lot, so comfort is important to me. All my heels are comfortable to walk in for up to 1.5 mi at a time (believe me, I try them all). A good test when buying shoes is walking up and down stairs and around the mall for around 5min (leave your purse with salespeople and tell them you will try the shoes outside the shop. They usually are ok with it, as they have your valuables). If you are uncomfortable with walking, don't buy the shoes. The next day after buying, walk around a lot with the shoes, and if they are uncomfortable, return them.

Sonata, I wear cycling shorts/tights under short skirts. Long skirts are no problem at all.

I can see lilac and lavender colored dresses, and deeper shades of purple going well. Not sure about the brown unless you wear it w/ the peach shoes. If your skin looks good in copper/bronze colored dresses, the peach shoes might work too.

Bah, who cares what they look like when they're that freaking comfortable. I blacked out all the logos on mine with a sharpie, so they're just black velcro shoes.

Then again, I'm not a big fan of high heels to begin with.

Talk to SesameCrunch in the Folding forum. He restored an old Moulton not too long ago, and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Nope. We are always on time. I make him dress up before I do, plus two bathrooms save time.

I take a maximum of 1hr to dress up btw, except for special occasions where my hair needs to be done (my hair is stubbornly straight and resists any and all styling). Usually it's around 20-40min depending on length of shower and amount of makeup I need/want to put on.

Teh bf spends 30min in the shower, 5mins drying off, 5min digging up shirts and pants, 5min trying to decide which shirt to wear, 10mins ironing, because he inevitably picks the nicer-looking but wrinkled ones, 2min doing hair, 2min searching for socks, 5min searching for shoes and putting them on, and 5min looking for keys, tickets, and other crap.
