Kitty update 4-30

Mah bee bees!

4 weeks old on Tuesday. Looks like the little white/gray ear-Himalayan looking kitty may have a home, however I'm going to need a little info first.

Kitties are so cute as they bounce/run - basically waddle all over the room. And they come when I call them - sooo funny to walk into the room and say "BABIES!!" - and out from under the bed run/waddle the "herd" mewing all the way to me.

This pic is a result of me walking back into the room and they come running so I sit down and immediately I have a lap full of kitties. AND MY LEGS! OY!!! I'm their jungle gym - and I look like fell into a pric-ker bush!!!

Birdy the runt is staring up --- this is also the only one who has a very audible purr when you pick her up or pet her.

Piles of kitties!

I'm going to try and take a little movie tonite and load it to youtube of when the come when I call them, it's really cute.

They are such cute babies! It will be fun to see them turn into little climbing monkeys.

Why are half your photos so fuzzy? The cats should be fuzzy. The pictures shouldn't be fuzzy.

I'm not even a huge cat fan - but I want Birdy. My dog may feel differently about that though....

Talked to a couple of agencies and sent them pictures, and they are quite frankly not interested - these are agencies that deal with adult cat adoptions. Said they are inundated with cats right now - and indeed I saw one of the agencies advertising on Craigslist - and they had probably 8-10 adults. And they said with the leg visibly out of shape, hasn't been a house cat in all but 2 months of it's 2 years, that they do not think they could place her - or the one reluctantly said well they can put her on a list. I cannot have her inside - she does not get along with any other cat, and sadly her living outdoors scraping for food comes out when there is an empty plat laying on my dresser. Even though it has a big bowl of food and water it will do ANYTHING to get on that dresser, even if it means hanging by one arm for a while. Repeated reprimands do nothing and it becomes a game.

Yeah, I'm getting a little worn with it. Sad to say - she may go back out there (I'd still feed her) - BUT - I want to make sure she is neutered. I'm still going to look for a place for her, especially since I plan on only living here till the end of Summer ...

If the agencies can't take her, did you ask if they might assist with getting you a deal on having her fixed?

I looked at the back of my ankles - which were sore - and they should be - bleeding! Putting pants on tonite - and it's time to start not letting them do that - it's near time to start keeping them in the cage when I'm gone so they don't destroy my room - but - their cage is going to rock with stuff to do in there. Starting my "home improvement" project this weekend. Have to keep those little guys busy!

They do not, but the humane society does - have the form - and talked to them - there are income limits and when I asked they say they don't tell because they found that people would "make" their income meet the guidelines. Not sure if mine is low enough but I have enough legal fingers in the "pot" to hopefully make my income more "attractive" to meet their guidelines.

And quite frankly - I'm tired of my room smelling like a toilet. Even with having her just on dry food - she does not go like a normal cat. Pretty awful.

But I want to ensure her being neutered.

<edit> just got off the phone with two other agencies (who deal especially with feral cats) - one place has 100 cats in the system already - and offered me a couple of other places that may help with the neutering so she could go back outside.

Obviously there are a lot cats in need of a home.

They are coming along really nicely, Tude. Thanks for having such a kind heart and taking her in. You are definitely a huge contributor to their lives. Please tell you room mates that I thank them for their understanding and patience as well. I'm sure the babies will find homes. They are too irresistible not to.

I wish I can take momma kitty. She's beautiful.

Legs are just climbing frames to kittens. Works fine if you wear jeans. Not so good on bare legs.
