-I'm in love, but I think my girlfriend's friendship with a married man is just wrong. It drives me crazy.

OK, here's my 2 cents worth, I assume you are concerned this will escalate into something else with this guy ... otherwise you wouldn't be concerned. I'm not sure if this is just your insecurities or if you have a real reason to be concerned. Either way, it's not worth staying in a relationship long term if there are serious trust issues. Talk to her about it, and then evaluate the situation from there.

1. I think Alfster's advice is very wise; any guy in your shoes would be a little anxious over that, but no reason to let it become a bigger deal than necessary - talk to her about it when you're both in a good open and receptive mood and I'll bet you can draw some lines that work for both of you.

2. You're too handsome and talented to be insecure.

3. +1 on the Rail Trails. My wife hates traffic and she loves going up to Westchester (about a half-hour drive or train ride north of Manhattan) to ride car-free with me on the weekends. I totally understand being gun-shy but when you're ready you'll be back on two wheels.

I did that for decades and now that Im getting back into I see that all those

and something happens that we have to stay "for a few more months".
Recently, we just got ripped off in a real estate deal that will make it
even harder to leave. Im torn between my fabulous Wife and self preservation.

No offence, but most women want to tell me all about how "harmless" and "okay" it is for women to have male friends while in a commited relationship. Guys present themselves in such a positive light around women, I understand. But as a man, I think that a married man that likes to hang out with my girl is shady. What do they have to talk about/have in common? He seems to use her to complain about his marriage/get a "boost". She is not friends with the wife. What is that all about?


Oh well, she knew him before me so I guess he comes with the package. He was the one she called before we went out for the first time to inform/ask for advice. I believe that, for her part, they are just friends. But I do not trust that he respects me. At all.

Dude, If a women loves you and you say her guy friends bug you...that should be a no brainer for her.

Otherwise find someone else who respects your wishs...
