Who knew redneck was a way of life?

I went to a rained out NASCAR race yesterday and camped out at the track. Redneck is apparently a way of life and I kinda liked it.

Discuss.

Of course you like it. When you're groveling at the bottom with the dreggs of society, there's no where to go but up!

You might be a redneck if......you go to a NASCAR race, camp out, and like it.

At least at a Cup race folks actually use their campers and motorhomes to camp in. Unlike a football game, where the clowns drive their 40 footers to a parking lot the morning of a game and "tailgate".

I never even saw a race car. It rained all day. But anywhere you can bring you're own booze in is bound to be a good time.

Dentistry requires a clientele that doesn't blow what little money they have on cheap beer and carburetors...just sayin'.

Did you know that the toothbrush was invented in the South?

If it were invented anywhere else, it'd be called a teethbrush.

When I woke up this morning I felt like I had been robbed of some of my intelligence. I'm pretty sure the IQ fairy came by last night while sleeping and stole about 10 points.

I know I'm stabbing at rednecks but there were some really cool people out there. I'm pretty sure at least 25 people saw me naked and no one called the cops.

Rednecks don't like cops. Did you not watch 'Dukes of Hazzard'?

I love rednecks. I watch NASCAR.
My kids have redneck friends that would bend over backwards for them. And "normal" friends that are two-faced.

Honestly, rednecks have a bad rap. It's easy to pick on them because they won't cry foul and it's apparently politically correct. The ones that we know who would be considered redneck are the nicest, most honest people we know. They are friendly, hospitable, giving, and honestly care about us. They love our kids, want them to hang out, take them places, buy them stuff, and have a real good time.

That's one reason I love where I live and I wouldn't move if you paid me.

You must have a different kind of redneck then. The ones I knew are largely uneducated, stupid, racist, and tend to prattle on about how hard-working, wise, and honest folk they are. I know I'm stereotyping, but there's enough of them to make the stereotype fit or it wouldn't be there.

Don't forget the constant conversations that always start with, "You know what pisses me off?"
