No more eye tattooing

No more eye tattooing
And after today, it will be against the law in Oklahoma to tattoo the white of the eye.
SB 844, which outlaws the practice, was filed at the request of the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology.
The practice of tattooing the eyeball is growing. Tattoo artists use a needle to inject pigment into the white of an eyeball. The end result is a colored eyeball. The pupil of the eye remains unchanged.
Opponents to the practice say it is dangerous and could cause blindness.

*shudder*

I can't even stand contacts. Lasik scares me. Voluntarily having my eye stabbed with needles for no good reason?

while that sounds and looks cool I don't like having sand/eyelashes/dirt in my eye, let alone needles.

I can't think of much more that screams "unemployable" any louder than eye tats .

First it's the black oil, then there will be extreme body modification that turns your blood into highly toxic green ****. Awesome.

OOooOoo!
The more the merrier. With a lack of applicants maybe my wages will go up.
I can't even stand regular tats. You can extrapolate my feelings regarding eye tats from that opinion.

My "eyes", which are embedded into the sexual pits of what your kind call a "face" are glass, so hence cannot be tattoed. I "see" with some receptors that are on the tip of what you humans call a "tongue".

Why anyone would want to mess with one of their 5 senses, I'll never know. Tattoo your skin all you want, but why on earth would you want to risk going BLIND!?

not saying it doesn't look cool.

Just saying the thought of having it done makes me curl up into a fetal position

Oh yeah, it pisses me off a little that this has been outlawed by state lawmakers with apparently nothing better to do. 40,000 people a year die because of cars yet they choose to outlaw eye tattooing? Be an idiot if you want because getting your eye tattooed doesn't affect me one bit.

I like the math...from the original link:

Oklahomans who are late renewing their vehicle tags after today will have to pay three times the fine, according to a law that takes effect Wednesday.

Changes in how children are removed from their homes in case of suspected abuse and neglect also go into place Wednesday as part of a measure changing how the state deals with children in its care.
Tag renewal
Senate Bill 658 increases the fine for delinquent tag renewals from 25 cents per day to $1 per day,
