I'm a Thread Killer!

Very often, I'll share my very humble and gentle opinion on whatever...
Then there's no response to that thread for days, sometimes ever!
I'm sure nobody else imagines this happening!

I've had that happen a time or two. I'm almost relieved when there is not an immediate post after mine. I think my biggest fear is too give some advice/viewpoint and be viciously criticised. I usually think out my posts carefully with this possibility in mind. Usually I get no response.

Yeah, I've had that happen a *lot*, to.

Thing is, I think it's because I tend really write out a long piece of advice covering all the bases. I think the people after me read down to my post and think "I was going to write that, this other guy did already so I won't spend time writing another response". :-)

I'm a thread killer too. I think it's because I try not post inane or inflammatory things. In other words, a boring poster!

Keep in mind that everyone here is just another mouthpiece with an opinion that no one will even listen to in the real world. Those who answer with one word of dasdain actually have nothing to say.

It is not that you killed the thread. More that you posted all that could be said on the subject and everyone moved on.

Sounds like you're more of a thread "reviver"

Threadkiller. You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
