For all you jerks who don't think I live close enough to NY City

Quick, somebody tell the MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority), the agency that runs everything from the NY City Subway to the commuter rail lines that head out of the city. I'll be paying about $500 into their new payroll tax (as a self employed person) over the next year. This tax impacts NY City and several counties north of the city, including Orange County.

Ouch.

Still, beats living in the REAL upstate part of NY. F that action. This is downstate. I make it to the GW Bridge on Sat/Sun mornings (when I go racing in the city) in 45 mins.

Oh yeah, well ... well - when people out of state hear I live in NYS - they think I live close by or in NYC.

I got news for you. Every single one I have ever seen give you a hard time about living near, but not in NYC, is perma-banned.

Who is this thread for?
