How to be a mack with the lady at the gym?

Hey guys, I'm in a situation. So me and one of my roommate went to our apartment gym early this week. Within the 20x25 foot gym space, it was us using the multi-stack gym, while two ladies were using the treadmill. But when this amazing, and utterly gorgeous woman (probably a sophmore like myself) walked in my roommate and I kind of looked at eachother.

She had perfect skin, was decked out in pink gym clothes, perfect hair, super confident, no fake-tan...ahh Striking brunette I might add.

Anyways, here's the good part: Yesterday, after working out, the same roommate and I played some pool. We were curious if that girl would show up again, and all of a sudden we heard the place's front door open and she walked in.

Long story short, we ended up lifting again for 20 minutes with her in there, but then I left to the gym room to watch TV just outside. Somehow she ended up breaking the silence with my roommate and they talked for say 5 minutes. Then she went outside to where I was and she kind of walked around a bit. BUT! she ended up stretching her leg practically right in front of my vision to the tv...ahhh it was kind of suggestive. After that she walked back towards the gym and asked me if I knew when the place closes, and I told her.

So she purposely broke the first words to me and my roommate. She seems like a tease almost, though my roommate and I would like to get to know her better. However, how is the best way to chat to a lady in the gym? What should we even talk about without it being creepy or wishywashy? Ok so say I'm lifting, and she walks in...what then? A hello or smile maybe. hmm.

she..is..so..

No one better to ask then the Foosters.

No. I don't want to hear this. Go back to your room and study. You shouldn't be looking at women during finals.

I refuse to admit that you are growing up. Where's my 16 year old EJ?

not often you hear about love at first sight.

don't treat her overly well, just treat her like you'd treat yourself.
but definitely act like you are interested.

And if you want to learn, read up on those silly horoscope style news about body language and such.

Yeah, but it's easier giving advice on saddle height and chain lube that recognizing the young ones are growing up.

Say hi, converse, ask her out to lunch, drink, movie night with your friends, and set the date for after your finals are over.

I figured out pretty early on that the ones that were "my type" were not the ones I noticed because they were pretty, and then got to know. Rather my type turns out to be the ones I start to know, then realize are pretty 1/2 way through the conversation. Then again, I'm an engineer.

If both you and the girl are going to be "regulars" at the gym, you might as well just be cordial, introduce yourselves.

Take her to your beachfront condo in the Caymans on the Gulfstream. That should get you into the sack.

Just kind of look in her general direction and then casually lick your eyebrows. Always worked for me.

I'd try this line: "Voulez-vous chouchez avec moi ce soir?"

If she acts interested, then run. She's a perv. If she freaks out that means she's not a perv and might be worth checking out further. Oops, but wait, she'll think you're the perv then. Ok that won't work...

LOL. Just as when I thought I hit BikeForums... :-)

You could start by saying Hi and asking her how her day was. Or you could just tell her that she's been a naughty girl this year and deserves a punishment. Hey, you never know.

Don't pretend to be something you're not. Acting like you are mack is acting. Be you. If she's into you, that's awesome. If not, move on.

Talk to her. Like a human. She's in school, too, so probably has something going on up top (her brain, gentlemen ). Ask her what she's studying. When she answers, look her in the eyes and pay attention. Respond appropriately with questions about her degree and what classes she's taking. Look for something you have in common and play that up.

And I would stop asking a cycling forum, Foo especially, for dating advice. Have you seen some of the guys on here? They're gonna tell you to lick your eyebrows.

I take it that neither you or your roommate have any game for you to bring your business here. We don't know you so anything can be advised however, I think you should be talking to your friends who know you well. Another thing, if one has to ask others about how to go about "getting to know" another, the person being pursued is not worth the time invested. Natural conversations should be easy.
