Frustration (not the typical woe-is-me rant)

I've got somewhat of a bag fetish. Currently have 2 backpacks and one sling (Knog). Wanting to get a mess bag, or rather, a murse. I have just over 70 USD on a universal* gift card.

My problem is that when viewing items, say at Campmor, the dimensions don't match the volume. Kinda hard to figure which is the more truthful.

Or perhaps I could check out the knives...

*Though can be used on any/everything, it's only good at participating retailers. Was part of an employee incentive program that has been discontinued.

I have a bag fetish too. I've lost count of the number of backpacks, slingbags, duffles, panniers, and messenger bags I've bought over the years to find that ONE PERFECT BAG.

And I have nothing to share.

Just wanted you to know you are not alone.

Yeah, I'd look at knives too. Or hats. I love hats.

Thanks for reminding me that I forgot to mention my panniers and townie baskets.

Well, I have a Dakine Campus-Lg and a Banjo Brothers Large waterproof backpack. Had a Ful, which I gave to the oldest to replace the craptastic deal her mom got for her from wally world. Then I had to give up my Ogio Politan to the oldest, to replace the Ful. Shoulder strap gave out, but it got her through her Jr. year in HS. The North Face Jester that I won from a local radio station was 'claimed' by my wife...

Jansport. An old one with the leather bottom. The last backpack I'll ever buy. I got it some time in elementary or middle school and every time the zipper dies (every 8 years or so due to abuse on my part) I send it back, they replace it for free, clean up the edges a bit, and send it back.
