I made a bunch of party food, fed some people and went to bed before 930.

Kicked back, knocked down a couple shots of Tequilla and watched movies at home.

Started off with empenadas, cheese and wine, then took the kids bowling from 7 to 10, then back home to a small get together. Wife drank a bit too much, still in bed, the boys slept until 9:30. Spending the day chilling and doing laundry.

Went to dinner and a movie with the GF. Concluded on the drive back that her car car from the coil packs to the spark plugs needed to be rebuilt and started tearing it apart (it's back together now).

I had an excellent chili for dinner and homemade apple turnovers for dessert. I almost had my sparkling wine opened via saber, but chickened out.

The girl said, "We should have a party like this every New Years!" Apparently the excitement of pudding, drawing on windows, blowing cheesy party noise makers, and staying up until "midnight" was a very cool thing for 6 year olds.

A nice dinner of whole lobster, blue cheese crusted filet mignon, bbq'd cauliflower, salad and some good wine ... then listened to music and sat in front of the fireplace. Made it to 12:08 ... it was lovely. Today we've got guests for dinner.

Drove my daughters and friends to a concert/ party downtown, Mrs. jdon and I went to First Night downtown, picked the girls up, went home for champagne and snacks and took everyone home. Pretty mundane, darn I feel old..

Did a fire show (epic!) that wrapped up around 9, then went to a few parties with my girlfriend, her sister, and a mutual friend. It was a good night.

Verbally fought and negotiated with my lady over my not wanting to go into hell downtown with the drunk hordes...won that fight...stayed home and feasted on bird , pizza, rum, and coke...drank cocoa and coffee as we watched television....play fought and wrestled over my wanting to go outside and shoot my guns....lost that fight and carried her to bed and made love, not war well into the new day.

My wife had an awesome dinner waiting when I arrived home from work of steak, fried shrimp, and Quesadillas. We watched the Spanish tv stations because that is what she is and besides, the Spanish women show the most cleavage. We drank Mud Slides and went to bed at 12:30. Did I say my wife looked extremely HOT last night? That's right, H-O-T as in I can't wait to "see you later in bed". She treated me exceptionally good and then we went to sleep.

Safe, satiated, and satisfied. What more could a guy want with his beautiful wife?

Dinner at a nice Chinese restaurant then a couple of hours of poker at a local card room. Home by 11, 5 1/2 hours of sleep, then did the Southern California BF New Years Day ride.

Went to a party with friends from highschool. Didn't know most of the people there, but that didn't really matter. Played some fast paced card game that was easy to cheat at. Toasted at midnight. Slept on the floor. Pretty good New Years.

When you combine them, it is called champsure.

And in my defense, yesterday was a regular work day, and I got up at 0430.

Watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the wife, walked the dog, went to bed at 11:30 or so after taking the dog to potty again. Awoke at 8 to a whining dog, then after breakfast and a walk, I found that one of my web servers got hacked. Happy new year, indeed. Thanks, Internet script kiddies!

You know if the "Internet script kiddies" can hack your web server you might want to re-consider how you set up security on your servers.
