Lost our kitty this morning...

We took out cat to the vet last Saturday. He's been not eating well for a week or more. The weekend vet could immediately tell he was very sick, so he stayed there. The guess was FLS (Fatty Liver Syndrome), but they needed an ultrasound (which couldn't happen until Monday) for the official diagnosis.

Monday confirmed the FLS and he was fitted with a feeding tube. Vet called this morning to say it was too much for his body, all that shock.

Miles died this morning.

R.I.P. Miles

ALSO, just found out that one of our regular "greyhound buddies" (greyhound parents who we all meet at the dog park together each week) had to put his greyhound down this week. It was one of the boys' play buddies.

I had a cat die of FLD as well. She was my "half-a-cat". She lived under the bed. Was sweet as all get-out but very afraid of people, including me. She only came out to eat. Her living under the bed just didn't give her enough physical activity. She got sick (I knew she was sick because she was laying on the bathroom rug and didn't run when I came in), I took her to the vet, she died. It happened so suddenly. It was very sad.

I know it's only a cat, but still part of your family and will be missed. So sorry for your loss.
