How to chat up women while riding.

I frequently find myself stumbling upon beautiful-looking, female cyclists and not knowing how to talk to them. I figure that I will be seen as a creeper and/or disturbing their fun activity. I suppose that the second fear doesn't make complete sense because it would make my day if a woman chatted me up while on the bike.

For those that have succeeded in this matter, let me know your secret.

^^ This. It will not seem creepy or disturbing. "How do you like your Trek?" or "Man, this headwind is a pain" are great openers.

This all seems totally logical. I think my main issue may be that I have never approached a stranger before, with the exception being in a party environment.

BUT, take a good look and let her see you looking.
If she likes it she sort of been over just a little so you get a better look.

If not then don't waste your time. Move on to number 2. Always have a backup plan ready!

Are you a creeper? If not, then just be yourself. If you are... well, that's a whole different topic.

If you're disturbing their fun, they'll let you know and you'll actually want to leave them alone (except if you are a creeper...)

The bike, weather, trail/path, traffic or even a cool jersey are all potential ice breakers.

I've tried this and usually end up being dropped shortly after.

Just ride behind her and take pics with your phone. When she turns to look at you, smile and get a pic of her face.

i imagine chatting up women strangers is not going to be fruitful just like many women don't like getting hit on in gyms. why else do they have women only gyms and classes?

let's ask the ladies how they would feel about it, instead of us fellas speculating.

So...is it annoying as i suspect?

"those tires look like they've been around the block a time or two" probably won't win you any points with the ladies.

Have you tried saying hello? That usually works. Follow it up with an introduction and then offer to purchase her something. "Hello,My name is (put your name here). Would you like to come to dinner with me (enter location here) on (enter date here)? If she says no smile then say " Thank you any ways." wink and continue at a mildly faster pace then her. She will catch up.

If you're a lady " Hi, wanna fool around?" has always (and will always) work on me.
