Thanks... That was the last shot on the roll. I got some more from my other camera (P&S canon classic 120 sure shot) in B&W with a helicopter in the frame just as it was passing further away from the fountain. It's Ilford hp5 plus film and I have to find the lab that processes those or I gotta learn how to do it my self, then just take it for scanning. BTW I love those shots you did in the woods with stones and water. Great.

Thanks! I like it too. I have tons of pictures that are all similar, yet I still keep making new ones of the same thing!

Traveled to Lake Huron today for the 10-12 foot waves. Ended up being a bit much for my blood, but there were a few superheroes brave enough to jump in.

I'm temporarily replacing people at an office up north. I work nights, and it's fabulous:

Working at night has never been so fun. This is a photo from a timelapse sequence that is in the process of being processed:

Incredible, Erick. How long are your exposures, and how do you keep the stars from becoming streaks in the sky? I'm assuming you'd have to mount the camera on an computer guided telescope?

Sorry for the late reply.

No. It's a general purpose PIC micro based board with icsp (rs232) and usb interfaces, but otherwise just i/o headers. I write the code in C and some assembly.

I always get the impression from that particular photo that it's looking at me anticipating to be wired up so he can explore my office. He's an autonomous bot, maps his environment, looks for his battery charger, avoids sound & vibration, ect. He interfaces with other bots and gives them map info plus the frequency with which different parts of the floor are occupied (he remembers changes in the map and does simple statistical analysis). No GPS on this one, just dead reckoning, so he's limited to indoors.

I sometimes wonder if evolution functionality could be written into software so that these lttle guys could somehow 'evolve' to the point of self awareness... wouldn't that be something.

30 seconds - f4 - ISO 6400 - 12mm on an APS-C sensor. Streaks aren't a problem with a wide-angle. Astrophotography is growing on me so a tracker and telescope would be nice.

Here's the time-lapse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0saubLHVDI

Wow, that's one of the coolest videos I've ever seen! Concerning the photo, I'm guessing the wide angle helps as much as anything? I've taken 30 second exposures with my zoom lens and there is definitely streaking, but that was something like 200mm. The widest lens I have is 17mm. I may have to try it again, although I'm not in a remote enough area to see a ton of stars or the Milky Way very often.

I parked my car to take a photo of something else I saw. Got out, started getting the exposure right for my first shot on the roll, and it was right there beside my car, so I shot it.
Photo I wanted to take didn't quite work. This one did.

Oh wow, those are both excellent! I think they're inspiring me to get some more B&W film.

Thanks you. My canon sure shot sometimes has a tendency to darken the edges of the frame when there is certain light hitting the lens. It kind of goes with naturally gradient light that was present at that time during dusk with that bridge photo. That little P&S canon camera surprises me every time.
