I got sprinkled on during this ride. The damp dirt smelled like graham crackers O.o

Me and my dad went fishing for the first time in many years. Was so awesome, I felt right at home right away. Weather was perfect!

Caught two wee carps, a tiny bluegill, and this fella.

And this is just whatever, I thought the wires looked neat.

I love this thread. You guys rock. I wish I had half the photographical(is that a word?) talent you all do, and of course a decent camera would help. Those last 2 shots are epic Cuda, not to take away from the first of the 3.

jon - This is one of the most stunning photos I have ever seen.

Sometimes it is all about the timing and being able to catch the light at just the right moment... my partner is also an award winning photographer and shoots mountains and landscapes on good old fashioned film. There is one winning shot he took where the particular light and shadows are only available for 10-15 minutes a day for a week and had to be taken in the dead of winter from a position that was a challenging climb up a rock face.

Consider that he was doing these climbs in his early 70's when guys half his age might have said screw this but he knew exactly where he had to be and when he had to be there.

There is something that is a little more important to me than bicycles and it's not photography (though it's close), I'll give ya two guesses....

Igo this one is fantastic!

And like wise with this one arkansasgal:

This is the bridge I was climbing down under to get the waterfall shot above:

And this is where Happy Feet and I stayed our last two nights before heading back to Portland (to meet up with Sixty Fiver and his special lady)

And this was taken from the porch of that little cabin:

Bottom of the Tanner trail at the beginning of the Escalante Route, more remote section of the Grand Canyon. You can go for days without seeing another human but be ready for an ass-woopin' of a jaunt to get there. There's a bit of an alpineglow thing going on in this shot.
My favorite place in the world.

Nice macro Chris...., there was a dragonfly around the front of the house this evening, but he wouldn't let me get that close / I don't have any tubes...

Full size: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-e...0/IMG_7731.jpg

And this is probably the best of the honey bees that were enjoying the various sage plants I have in front:
