June 2011 Foo Photo Contest - We have a winner!

The theme for June is Still Life, chosen by April's winner, macfred.

From Wikipedia:

A still life (plural still lifes) is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which may be either natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). With origins in the Middle Ages and Ancient Greek/Roman art, still life paintings give the artist more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition than do paintings of other types of subjects such as landscape or portraiture. Still life paintings, particularly before 1700, often contained religious and allegorical symbolism relating to the objects depicted. Some modern still life breaks the two-dimensional barrier and employs three-dimensional mixed media, and uses found objects, photography, computer graphics, as well as video and sound.

Theme: Still Life

Good luck everyone!

I was actually riding when I took that photo. I had to do it several times. It wasn't that simple. Pic

I am gonna use a different photo for this month. It might be better.

I think he means your tape looks like droopy support hose. And it does.

No it doesn't. It's just a regular silver electrical tape to tighten my bar wrap, and you can barely see it. Would black electrical tape look better?

They are referring to the tan bar tape ... it's about the same colour as ladies' tights. Go check out the tights your local department store and you'll see what we mean.

But I really like the photo. I've been experimenting with the shadow effect, and it isn't easy to get a good shot.

Yea I know. I was just playing utter denial gone clueless.... I never really looked at it that way. LOL... It was more evident in my first photo. It kind of goes with my vintage bike and the brown saddle. It used to be more like gumwall color.

Ohh, and thanks.
