Does the progress bar do that horrible thing that the Windows file-copy bar does? Keep moving backwards... or hanging in one place for way too long.

I like my simple Bunn coffee maker. No lights, no display, no clock. Just a switch.

The Skoda Flavia, perhaps? But no-- It was a Lancia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_Flavia

They brew Peet's upstairs and Starbucks down here... either way, the academics brew it way too strong for me. I prefer the weak half-caf (or decaf) cheap stuff I make at home.

Agree.

Back on-topic, I do have a pound of Kauai Coffee I am itching to open once I am out of cheap stuff. Also some IKEA coffee... should be interesting.

You have automatic papertowel dispensers at every faucet. You spend more time there than you used to cause the machine only puts out one sheet at a time, sheesh.

Hasn't blow up with a blue screen yet so I guess it must be Linux.

so the flavia is italian? and it's got an electronic display and uses water?

sounds like it'll catch fire.

An addict.

Not that I'm not. I drink the swill at work because it's so bad I don't drink too much of it. If it were good coffee... sigh... I'd vibrate to pieces.

So take your own coffee in to work.

The last few times I've worked full time on client sites they had poxy coffee machines that served up hot cups of brown that didn't taste of anything much. So I ground some coffee at home and took it in to work, and made my own proper coffee. It worked for me, and worked very well for the guy I buy it from simply because of the number of people who adored the smell of my coffee as I took it back to my desk and asked where I got it from.

I really should have been on his payroll, the number of people I referred to him that way.
