I'll pass this on to the local TV reporters so they can be prepared the next time one of these beasts breaks loose.

Good on ya, mate!

bigbenaugust 02-27-14 11:29 AM

I am covering myself in Vegemite right now so they don't get me. Granted, I haven't seen a eucalyptus tree since I left California...

Sixty Fiver 02-27-14 11:49 AM

Flerpin.

MangoPumpkin 02-27-14 11:50 AM

I am trying not to pee on myself.

I suppose if one fell out of a tree and hit you on the head they could be. Otherwise they really don't pose a danger to anyone.

They can smother you with cuteness.

Went to DMV this morning. I've heard the complaints about the California DMV, but if you have an appointment you're in and out pretty quick. I was seen within 2 minutes of my appointment time, filled out a form, saw the rep and was out in 25 minutes.

When I got home my friend was there with his new Mexico surf truck. He bought it used and fixed it up but now it's too nice to drive across the border.

I configure a bunch of production web servers which capture network ID in their access logs. I have just learned that I may be in violation of certain privacy laws in Germany as a result. I wonder if they can extradite me in time for happy hour there.

So I am on the run. I have two days worth of food, a sleeping bag, two cases of beer and a bottle of whiskey. Wish me luck.

It's okay to do so if there is a deranged koala sitting above your head.

Sweet, dude. Do you mean "network ID" as in "IP address" or "username"? Because if that's true, we're all on our way to Deutschland.

ModoVincere 02-28-14 08:44 AM

Running a 5 year forecast to see how much money I think I will have then, and wether it would be enough to "retire"

Common log format includes %u - username. I usually add %T. Fortunately, our load balancers are from the cro-magnon period and can't pass true IP address. There is a fellow from Bensheim talking to me and suggested that there is no way their airport security will have my likeness yet and I won't get picked up.

I sense a trap.

How else are the German peoples to feel safe, knowing that they can browse potentially disturbing sites in the big, giant anonymity black hole known as The Internet? ;)

Anyone driven or owned a Nissan truck? Drove one and was very impressed AND it's $7k cheaper than the Tacoma I was considering.

Leaving for good...

Heading to Germany?

Big_e 03-04-14 09:25 AM

I'm here at work packing all my stuff off my desk and getting ready to move to another office across town. I swear I should just leave my stuff in boxes from now on. This is the 3rd move in 6 months.

ModoVincere 03-04-14 09:32 AM

I'm at the office waiting for 1 of 4 meetings today, waiting for a response from IT about why one system isn't working today, and kind of freaking out about the tooth that broke this morning. I have to wait till tomorrow to get to the dentist. Gonna be a warm drink and soup kind of day....

EthanYQX 03-04-14 09:34 AM

I'm cross-shopping pickup trucks, about to make lunch, and wishing I didn't have an exam tomorrow.

Just gotta say, it is too early to be juggling.
