What else do you do in your bed?

Got to keep this clean (this is a family forum) ... so other than what Ruben would like to point out, what else do you do in bed (clip your toe nails, eat crackers, etc)??? Let's hear your dirty little secrets

My bed is pretty minimal, an inflatable twin mattress on the floor. Very comfortable, but not amenable to doing much else but sleeping.

Sleep.

Have found that if I avoid doing other things that my sleep is more restful... if I start reading a good book I could be up all night.

During the day I will bring work upstairs to the bedroom if my back needs a break but usually end up napping as my brain seems to be wired for bed = sleep... unless I have company.

Sleep (when the boy allows it... he is an early riser), sometimes crosswords/reading. The computer comes to bed only when I am sick.

I guess we fold laundry on the bed, but that isn't in the bed.

Now that you mention it, I guess I do on occasion check my email or the weather on the phone before I get out of bed. Usually only when I know that it is the last chance I will get to do so for the next several hours, or if there is something of importance going on at work. In either case, my computer is locked in its armoire to protect it from little hands. Or when Mrs. A asks what the weather is going to be tomorrow and I don't remember.

We also use the bed as a couch for movie-watching when I drag out the 23" Apple Cinema Display. But that's on the bed and not in it.

I've had sleep problems since I was a kid, so there's been nothing but sleep allowed in the bed. As I had more insomnia problems as an adult, one of my doctors told me that a bed is for 2 things only: Sex and sleep. If you train your brain that the bed is a place for reading, eating, computer, television, etc. then you can have problems falling asleep when you want to.

Nothing done on the bed but sleep. A habit since my younger days. Now once I do go to bed, I'll watch tv and set the timer to turn off by the time I fall asleep but that's it.

Sleep. I've never had a TV in the bedroom. Now I don't have a TV at all! (The wife took it when she moved out). Speaking of the wife moving out... all that happens in the bed is sleep.

Sometimes my cat joins me. Before I met my wife, the dogs would join me too. The wife re-trained them on that matter and now they sleep on the floor near the bed. She tried with the cat too, but everyone knows that cats (and wives) are untrainable.

Not entirely true. Most of my (book/Kindle) reading is in bed. I don't bring the laptop in the bedroom though.

Well, for the first time one of my kids walked in on my wife and me "family foruming" last night, so for the near future all I do is sleep...
