My Offspring is turning into my MOM

The girl is five now, and her behavior is changing. It used to be all about making questions. Now is all about making suggestions...

..You should eat your veggies
..You shouldn't drink so much soda
..You should do this
..You shouldn't do that

Is that the way is gonna be from now on?

Maybe because she loves you... she wants to make sure you stay healthy and well... it is sortof a female thing. Men would all be dead if not for women!

Be glad she's taking after Mom, she could be taking after the other grandmother.

From my understanding of human sexual reproduction, women would all be dead if not for men as well.

perhaps it just says alot about YOUR maturity level

BUT, it probably reflects the nutritional education your daughter is getting at your local school. So, eat your vegies, stop with the soda, etc. - all those dietary habits start early, so your little one is on a good track, and you should support her and eat healthy!

My younger sister got the nickname "Little Mommy" from my mother when she was about that age.

Eat all of your junk food after her bedtime or at the office. Works for me.

I think you are confusing things - without men, there would be no reproduction. I meant, once born, women are responsible for little boys making it through childhood and men just getting through life period.

My three year old is already doing this (i.e. repeating everything my wife tells me all day). I finally told my wife that "I never wanted to be the husband that is treated like just another one of the kids, but it's happening." Now we are in the middle of the longest fight ever. Oh, well. I still have the cat--as long as I feed him, he takes my side.

Maybe she saw your post in another thread about living on $25 of beans and rice a week and has gotten tired of the after effects of all those beans.

And Reuben, let's be realistic here, your beautiful daughter has had you wrapped around her little finger since the first time you held her and she opened those big beautiful eyes of hers and looked at you. Go ahead, deny it, we'll believe you.

I think she's got us ALL wrapped around her little fingers. She's so adorable.

If you tell your kid to eat healthy, and make her do it, but you eat junk, you will fail. She will do what you do, and you will lose your credibility. When you're not around she will eat junk.

If you listen to her, eat well and she knows it, she may grow up to eat well and to trust you.

Sorry. It gets worse and more important.
