What's the difference?!?

So I guess it's official: WVU is leaving the Big East to join the Big 12 as of 7/1/12. I just don't get what the difference is!

I miss Tech getting to play WVU every year. It was always a good game. The conference shifting is starting to make no sense. The Big East has people from the west, the ACC looks at people in states that don't touch the coast. WTF.

This. It's gotten to be a joke. At least they're thinking of the "student" athletes when they make these changes.

I can steer you to some of my favorite pubs/resturants in Columbus when you attend a West-by-God University beatdown by the Buckeyes.

That cannot be. The Big 10 is already the Big 12. Go get your own cockamamy conference name.

The Big 10 until 1987 was really the Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives. At first it was nicknamed the Western Conference. Then the Big Nine. Then the Big Ten. Then the Big Nine again. Then The Big Ten again. Then they lost count.
