Real nice considering it's 94 with a heat index of 105...

It's an attempt to get you to strip down to cool off.
I say go for it.

Eh, we had not one, not two, but three one day... in a row... when it was about 35 degrees and raining. And that's Fahrenheit.

Lots of people just packed up and went home.

Our drills are always planned two weeks in advance with ample signage and everything; people plan off-site meetings during that time or take long lunches, so we only have a handful of participants regardless of the building actually being empty and normally filled with thousands. And drills are rescheduled if the weather isn't absolutely perfect that day (rain, temp, wind, etc). Besides, if there were a real emergency, only the floor with the issue plus two in each direction are evacuated anyway...

I wish. They want it to be a suprise, which is soooooo fun. We also have the public in here, so we have to make sure they are ushered out and taken care of also.

During a fire drill, I like to run up and down the halls shrieking 'I don't want to die a virgin!'. You can get some fear-of-impending-death in the storeroom action that way.

So go sit in the shade. I've done that during fire drills, I told my line manager I was present and didn't plan to stand in the direct sun as I'd get sunburned as a result, then went and sat in the shade.

I was tempted to go and sit in the nearby pub until everyone filed past again but thought that might be taking it a little too far.
