Hey Mods!

We see in the Banned Users thread all these members who have been banned for being sock puppets. But that is where the information ends.

Can we at least get a clue, if not the actual user name, as to who the original banned poster was and who created those sock puppets?

I see some of these names and try to work out whom they might be, but either I don't get around the fourms as much as I should, or can't pick the similar posting styles very well. SCochiller comes to mine as one.

How about it!

Thanks for the glib, off-handed answer.

Maybe before you kill them you could send them to TH for torture, no?

This is a Good use of TH.

we don't talk about moderation strategies or deliberations except possibly to the people involved. I just wanted you to know we don't do what you asked, and will not in the future. I suspect you can imagine why after some reflection on human nature.

I think most sockpuppets are boring, but this idea may have merit depending on who it is

My question is, why do you really need to know who they are? It's really not important, is it? Plus it takes all the fun out of your trying to figure it out. I mean, what are you going to do with all of that spare time if we post it? Have fun with it, Rowan.

I think that has always been a derogatory nickname that was adopted by the locals. More people recognize "happy valley" than the town where I live.

Actually, now I'm going to change it to "the state pen at Penn State" -- it's right out by the mall

Why is this such a touchy subject with the mods?

Gee, some of you need to find some spare time of your own to chill out and stop taking yourselves so seriously.
